Zero competitive advantage? Well in their price class they outsell all the cool cars in Europe. I drive 20,000 miles a year in my Tesla. Range issues with EPA ratings? Well my first Tesla rated range was 250 miles, 97%?of my driving used home charging. Plug in at night, 5 seconds, like my cell phone. My second Tesla has 350 EPA range so now 99% of my driving uses home charging. The range is good enough. It is fun to drive. Consumer reports it costs less to maintain. Guess so as I have spent zero on maintenance. Oh, Tesla has about 5 times the profit margin as gas cars. I would call that a competitive advantage.
