You are right that some vehicle applications are not a good fit for EVs today. However the next generation of batteries in 2027 will offer half the cost twice the energy, half the weight.
If li air batteries become common, maybe in 10 years, batteries will have 10x energy density.
My point is don’t judge EV viability by today’s product, it is continuously improving.
