Yes many short cuts to save the company while big leaps were made in manufacturing technology. His reputation for work environment is no good. On the other hand many employees benefited from stock incentives (hope they sold some). Real question is can the team plan and execute with less Musk?
Note Intel’s Andy Grove had similar push on employee and corporate culture (only the paranoid survive). Must has serious flaws however the article does not seem to be balanced.
