Why do I like my Tesla?
It is fun to drive. Very responsive both in acceleration and with regenerative breaking. Mine is a model 3.

The vision and size is just right. I know some folks like big cars but I don’t like driving them. The clean uncluttered look for the interior suites me.

Next, even though it is fun to drive, it is very efficient. It costs just $0.023 to drive one mile.

Refuel is the same as my phone, just plug it in.

I live in the Pacific Northwest so only $0.11 per KWh, mostly cheap hydro electricity.

Also spoiled by Tesla chargers when I do travel on a road trip. They are fast so add about 150 miles in 15 minutes. I have never waited for a charger.

If I lived in Wyoming, I agree the Tesla would be troublesome ( cold, long distances and guessing few public chargers.

The SW just works.

The ride is a bit stiff so that is a down side, a price for responsive turning.

As to service I did have a rock hit the windshield and needed a repair. Yes a 30 mile drive but Tesla provided a loaner. I was more than ok with service.

I did not see any quality issues. My understanding is the new production automation has improved quality but I know some early production units had issues. At least that was in the press coverage for early. Model 3.

Will other vendors gain market share? I hope so. I favor replacing gas and diesel. The production ramp is too hard to be just Tesla. Other vendors need to ramp up production.
