But what to do the EV does not have companion pick up coil. Easy place a pick up coil and cable on the ground with the cable stretched out and connected to the EV. Takes too much room. Ok just drive over the cable and park over the pick up coil.

DOT suggested for level city charging just supply a connector, the EV user brings his own cable. About $100 cost and less vandalism
