US drivers have lower than 0.5% of trips over 150 miles. Commercial light vehicles (delivery vans and such consume 50% of gasoline but 95% travel 100 miles or less and can use level 2 overnight charging.
Ok where is the market for fast charging. If 25000 EV hit the market and a large % are in apartments and most drive 37 mile a day, they might be ok with one 10 minute stop for charge every 6 days. CATL latest LFP battery supports 250 mile charge in 5 minutes. Charge to the big and medium size cities and near high density housing. That would be my guess .
