There is no stopping the engineering eco system. Look at the progress of airplanes from the fight flight to jets in a few decades. Or semi conductor IC from a few 10’s of thousand transistors running MHz to billions on a chip running GHz. The technology eco system is focused on moving from heat and transport fossil fuel to alternatives. Sure might not be 100% wind and Solar but for sure it will be < 10% fossil in a few decades. As to 50 year life flow batteries that is now, but not necessarily what will dominate the grid. Also alternatives are needed for some use cases. Those corner cases might not be worth resolving few a few decades. With what is in hand getting to 70% clean energy in 20 years is a slam dunk.
You did not mention improvements in energy efficiency. That is rapidly improving as well.
The electrical grip for transportation and household support is easy.
Not sure about other cement, steel production or agricultural. But the evolution of the grid is moving fast. Pace of investment will be driven by ROI.
Note the strategic value of removing oil profit form Russian war machine and Middle East Terrorists is also a motivator as is lower energy cost.
