The shift to clean energy is now motivated by it being cheaper than coal or gas. The shift to EV is because in the $40 to $50 k range they are more fun to drive for consumer. For commercial use EV have a cheaper life cycle cost. EV for light vehicles will reduce fossil fuel by 50% buy 2030 or latest 2034, Heavy trucks will reduce fossil fuel emissions by 25% by 2035 to 2040. So > 75% 2040, perhaps by 100% if production ramp is quicker then forecast.
