The points made in this article ignore the path of technology development we are on to replace oil used in transportation and heat.
First semi trucks from Tesla cost premium is paid back in two years. After that it saves money every year.
However that is using todays battery technology. Battery cost and density using convention chemical concepts will decline by 50% within one 2,years. Group14 (Si anode) and new LFP chemistry on the market today. If Influit Energy fluid batteries are successful, tanks, trucks etc will be cost effective and low impack on the grid.
In short the article does not account for technical progress just released and progress in prototype and likely moving to mass production.

If the same logic were applied to the internet and AI it would surely have missed today’s reality by light years.
