Some times humans do stupid things. That would Trump etc policy that hurt society and eventually their families.
In any case the trend is to lower cost electric power generation over time and lower cost EVs. The equipment options for charging EVs in an easy to access and cost effective way have 25 plus year life.
However if governments do not have the will this won’t happen. The state level in collaboration with utility companies can make this happen. Just need the goal to be adopted.
