Remember TQM. Japan eat up market share for decades because Ford GM and Chrysler were too stubborn to change. Then they did.
What you are saying is true. Their fundamental approach is let’s find a way to sell high cost high profit car that fit US egos. Of course if you can that would be nice. But you can’t.
The U.S. is being a bit silly wishing we sold solar panel not China. But China is not beating us on low cost labor. Ditto for EV.

So I agree. Change happens adapt or die.
Of course that was what I was hinting at. I just wrote that there is hope but left out trending to to a fast fall for Ford GM and VW.
