Panasonic already announced they will supply both Tesla and the rest of the industry with 4680 batteries. Tesla already offers use of their patents to the industry. In many areas of design and manufacturing Tesla is leading because they continuously innovate and invest in improvements in manufacturing, materials, engineering and features. Likely will be competitive as the market size grows.
