One or two counter points.

Buy LFP battery- 270 mile range, expected life 1,200,000 miles, better performance in the cold. Supports fast charging 250 miles in 10 minutes.

Yes today’s EV will depreciate faster as new generation EV will have better value. However your purchase increases market, attracts more R and D and thus grows the market.

The pace will be faster than most folks realize.

I have 75,000 miles and 4 years driving an EV, love it. Great performance, quiet and so far really inexpensive to fuel and maintain.

My experience is US. So charging infrastructure has been great for me (Tesla) but now the expansion and shift to all vendors accessing Tesla charging plus building USCS like crazy means by 2025 charging infrastructure in the U.S. becomes embraced as good enough.

Norway EV share of market is 90% or so. Guess EV s work ok in the cold.

Chrysler announced they will use Lyten batteries. About 50% less CO2 for production, 2X energy density, less cost, 100% US materials (no cobalt no nickel).
There is risk but this bet by Chrysler could have a massive payoff.
