Electric power offers a cheaper and more stable energy source for light vehicles. In the US the economic saving of 100% use of EV is about $540 billion per year.
Climate is a big issue but some folks don’t think pollution affects climate. Not my view but for those folks there are major advantages of EV over ICE.
