Not sure this policy is very smart. Tesla needs to compensate customers in some way for this restriction. For example offer extended warranty and free use of super charging. The extended warranty 1 year plus 20,000 miles.
Why. Even if agreed to it leave a bad residual feeling of losing freedom granted to all other purchases. Assume you thought you would love it changed your mind. Or get married and want a different model. Also in effect Tesla has part ownership / control. They would liable for part of any accident law suit.
In short they are messing with their reputation both for cyber truck customers and and potential EV customer. The exposure to really bad PR is not worth it unless there is up front compensation to offset the claim of big corporate taking away liberty with nothing in return.
