Not in the article: some folks (me) think EV are fun to drive. Also EV are inherently safer. Roll over accidents are number one cause of injuries. EV with heavy batteries on floor are less prone to roll over. In terms of head on crashes EV has no engine sitting high in front of the driver so the car can absorb more of the crash energy with metal deformation. EV have achieved the highest safety ratings from US government testing.
