My recent experience with free Tesla FSD until end of April. First it quite good in most surface street conditions. Oddly it fails to deal with school zones correctly. That should be easy to correct.
In easy traffic circles with little car traffic and people in a cross walk the sw works. But add in heavy traffic it fails about 80% of the time.
My guess is it might not be the software. My Tesla is 2020, my guess is the hw cannot process the data fast enough. Guessing the latest hw can.

Is the software useful. I do feel safe using it. So in theory two “minds” are better than one. However it requires the driver to be engaged.

What if it did offer FSB max. Well, for me I like driving and being engaged with road. So I won’t pay 12,000 for it nor would I “rent” out the car. Why? I like owning a car more than a cab.
