My guess Russian logistics has already deteriorated from deterioration of Russian economy. So winter will be worse the Russian soldiers then last year. Soldiers will die from cold and less effective in military tasks. Add additional deterioration of logistic supply routes from Ukraine actions. Likely Ukraine will gain ground.
