My 2021 Tesla remains the best car I have owned in my 75 years on planet earth. No need to wait for the next model. However the industry does have a major problem, the next year will always bring out a better product. Unlike the minor changes in gas cars today, or the slow innovation pace in the 40s 50s 60s evolution was slow in terms improved power, transmissions, reliability… EV enter the market with a significant advantage in performance, reliability, safety.., And the next generation batteries constantly improve in range, time to charge etc.

Toyota claims 2027 battery range >600 miles. Yet 257 mile range LFP batteries cover 98% of what the market will actually use.

Interesting times.
