Having said how will we keep folks employed? You are right. Pay child care and teachers a living wage. Old folks care workers as well. Bring back low cost education. My Dad with lower middle class income supported 5 of 6 kids college education . Of course at that time tuition was about 10% of his income. In California tuition was free.
