Many of your points are good some addressed by the evolving electric car eco system. It is evolving so a snap shot of todays product won’t represent the fleet in five years.
One example is the recent shift to Tesla US charging standard now embraced by GM, Ford, Honda, Kia, Hyundai…. These vendors can use the existing Tesla network of chargers and plan to build or extent the network and exist network operators are adding compatible support. By 2026 essentially one standard charging system.
The EV eco system is evolving. For example most EV sold use LFP batteries that don’t use cobalt or nickel, future battery chemistry, if they make it to market use less li or offer solution using sodium. The trend is to higher energy density using less materials and cost less.
About consumer buying preference, for many an 18MPG truck with 4 wheel drive 110,090 cost is an emotional purchase.
