In life you do what you can. So why not convert to EVs, they are cheaper for many use cases now and by about 2026 will hands down cheaper and better than gas.
Wind solar and various storage technologies are the cheaper alternative now and constantly improving.
As to grid capacity, if utilities project demand they will build it.
