If you love your EV driving experience what would you have to pay for a gas or diesel car that offers the same experience? Guessing the price and mpg would be higher.
Of course, as you noted the buying decision is not just about price. It is also about less pollution. On that note about future value buying an EV encourages investment in R&D for better cheaper EVs which grows the market which lowers pollution.
A question. If the expected life of the battery is 1,200,000 miles and the expected life of the motor is 1,000,000 miles and folks keep EVs on the road 5 years longer than gasoline is that a net reduction in manufacturing pollution and cost per mile?
