I would pick Tesla. Of course I am on the west coast so lucky to have ready access to a quality high speed charging network. Having said that after 3 years and 55,000 mile I rarely use the Tesla network. Next point is range. Yes I have 350 max range but honestly don’t need it. But that’s my use case.
As to better built, I don’t put any value on extra weight for trim. I do love the way the Tesla drives and it has been the least troublesome car I have owned.
In short folks need to review their driving pattern, try out EV for driving joy and of course buy what is available and consider tax rebates if optimizing price and value is high.
