I say go for it Canada. BYD in North America means competition. Tesla has been ignoring the fundamentals in EV investment, especially battery technology and low cost entry level cars. And the wimpy US EV market shows it. Trump Musk policy will make the US lag further behind China in energy cost.
With a faster pace EV adoption in Canada will save money, the US lag will be more apparent.

As a US citizen looking at stupid Trump Musk policies that will drive energy cost up in the US and lower US job growth in renewables I am not optimistic of any short term swing back to pragmatic policies.
