I remember when the press shifted to high end digital cameras.

The EV analogy is folks who drive a lot. I met a fireman who drove 85 miles each way in his 18 MPG truck. He loved his truck. His buddies suggested he try a Tesla. He loves the ride. Using it for work days he saved the cost of a Tesla plus some in fuel cost. So now he does truck stuff on the weekends.

About 20% of gas vehicles use 50% of gas. The switch to EV is already happening in these commercial cases like last mile delivery vans, Uber, police cars, etc. No long trip concern as 100% of the driving is 50 to 100 miles a day, every work day. So overnight charging with 220 volts is good enough.

For me I just love the way an EV drives. I drove 200 mile to a beach hotel. Going it cost me $5.10 in fuel. The hotel offered free charging so I plugged in and went to sleep. The fuel cost returning home was zero. More a fun perk than bread and butter but still….
