I am retired from Intel. My view is engineering has produced exponential growth in computers, cell phones and can do the same in EV batteries and clean energy. 90% reduction in cost every decade can be repeated.

Of course the engineering must be funded.

In 2023 Amprius, Lyten and CATL began production of 500 w/Kg batteries. Can any of these reach $50/kwh in 10 years? Well if history repeats…

As to the grid, yes investments are needed. However, the % of over night charging demand is enough to reduce fossil fuel used in vehicles by 50%.
