I agree the barrier makes no sense. I wonder if getting a goal for a 2X higher energy density battery at 1/2 the of the best w/Kg EV battery price and turbo charging development of most promising candidates would not be better ROI. Increasing the pace of EV market acceptance offers a high rate of return.
