How: a dome can be quite strong. As to the actual design I would have to leave that the folks with engineering CAD and simulation tools. Of course it would need to be mass produced at low cost. My main point is material science options have expanded.

Would I trust my life to the product. Assuming the simulation and testing proves effective of course. It would only be used if time critical travel could advance equipment to save lives by reducing enemy advantage.

If the mine density is too high it might not be practical.

The mine removal process likely could be more efficient if robots replace people or if drones could disable mines.

As I said blue skye thinking.
