Good points. For burning fossil fuel for transportation we can predict when it will go zero. Although it is a bit easier to predict the 50% point. For light vehicles gas it is about 2033. For heavy trucks , once EV are cheaper to operate then 100% of new sales will be EV. However heavy trucks have a long life slow replacement rate. Perhaps we should take 1/2 the fleet oldest, and buy them.
