Gasoline and diesel account for 50% of oil consumption. The shift to EVs will likely reduce gasoline and diesel consumption by 50%. By 2033 ish. To 90% reduction by 2050 ish. The will save $540 billion per year in fuel cost one fossil fuel consumption for light vehicles and trucks drops by 90%, there will be less oil profits for Russian and Middle East terrorists, the truck and light vehicle fuel supply and price will become stable, the labor in Middle East and Russian oil industry will shift to US jobs to build and maintain renewable energy and EV infrastructure.
Shifting electric production from fossil fuel to renewable electric power production will save. $Trillions per year. US jobs, lower cost, safer world, less pollution = win, win, win, win.
