Fossil fuel represents a $10 trillion market opportunity. Bettter EV and grid batteries are a big part of this. So capital flows into improving battery price and performance. For example fast charging of 125 miles in 5 minutes or better is common in entry level EVs using LFP. The expected life of CATL LFP battery is 1,200,000 miles. The price of LFP batteries is declining fast, on track half 2022 price by 2025 (ish).

Iron air grid batteries are trending cheap and long lasting. EV vehicles to grid power is even cheaper.
