For me there are two tipping points
1. When the water temperature in the keys (Florida is my home state) reached 103 degrees. Done
2. When renewable energy generates electric power for 1/6 th the price of fossil fuels. Already done. California had 100 days in row where renewables supplied 100% of electric power. 50% of EU electric power is from renewables. Etc.

Not the whole story but same pattern in transportation, steel, cement- the quest for less CO2 emissions is leading to cheaper.

Can we accelerate the transition? Yes we are motivated by getting cost savings sooner. So double down on increasing the pace to better cheaper faster.

As to the terror of climate change, we have to deal with it.
