For EVs what is the priority order of:

1. US jobs

2. Reduction of oil demand

3. Lower fuel cost

4. Faster transition to EV for all use cases with high fuel use.

5. Increase pace of gasoline and diesel going to zero demand

6. Battery density 2x cost 50% less

7,. Reducing dependence on China for critical materials

Of course increasing the investment in US companies like Lyten, Amprius by $500 million to reduce manufacturing cost by 10x might solve all of the above. I would focus government labs and US and EU industry on the following goal: 500 w/Kg + $50 /kwh + 250 miles in 10 minutes fast charge + production ramp to support 50 million vehicles per year by 2026.
Likely a good bet given current pilot production.
