First the expected life of EV batteries lithium cobalt nickel have an expected life of 300,000 to 500,000 miles. The lower cost Lithium Iron Phosphorus batteries expected life exceeds 700,000 mile. Battery replacement cost should not be a worry especially given battery warranty exceed 100,000 miles.

Not sure what the purpose of this article is. However folks might want think through their use case. Charging at home can cover 99% of most users needs. In the US less than 0.5% of light vehicle trips are over 150 miles. My point is public charging is nice but it is not in the critical path for sales growth. The knowledge of what it is really like to own an EV is in critical path. So asks you know who own an EV what it is like to own one.
