First Climate change is a serious issue. However those that are on board that it is a priority and humans can minimize the effect need to win over the rest with short term clear benefits. For EV and clean energy the costs saving from coal and gas electric power generation are significant. The more invested in clean energy the faster the savings.
Second reducing oil profits of Russian and Middle East Terrorists makes us safer.
Those points will win over some support and should be said often.
I am not sure how to make the case for climate mitigation. Folks might not believe we have any power over climate but sure sure they have to accept the new storm flood and tidal damage. Do folks know the ocean is rising because warm water expands? Billions are being spent to save coasted cities. At least we should be able to show the economic benefits of climate mitigation as the extreme weather is now the new norm.
