EV progress can be faster. Folks on this thread could help consumer’s understand that 270 mile range is all 99% of consumers need, including for long car trips.
1. Two stops to charge for 14 minutes is all you need to 400 miles of travel.
2. LFP batteries have an expected life of 1,200,000 miles. Very low risk of needed to buy a battery after 100,000 mile warranty.
3. Less then 0.5% of US road trips are over 150 miles. 270 mile range satisfies more than 99% of consumer needs.
4. High users of fossil fuel will find total cost of ownership of EV lower than gas- police cars, Uber, high mileage commuters
5. As fossil fuel demand falls by 50% gas stations will be closing, likely noticeable by 2033, reducing the value of used gas vehicles.
