EV production production for next 5 years will be limited to about 5 million units per year. 65% of households can have Level 2 charging at home and 99% of charging will be at home. In short production will be sold out without needing ubiquitous charging for at least 5 years. If range and charging times improve by 2027, the need for public charging will decrease and match gas car experience of weekly trips to fast charging. Most likely charging at restaurants etc will not be used.
