Automation is driving down costs and labor. If automation reduces labor needed by 90% how do we as a society adjust. Two examples- farming and Amazon. In Amazon case stores like Sears close by the 1000, the classic sales jobs of ringing up orders and stocking shelves gone. On top of that engineering constantly improved products taking more cost out every year. Microwave ovens, VCR decline in price from $600 to $60 in a decade. Less money is needed for more. EV and solar, wind and batteries are declining in price driving down the cost of energy and transportation. What to do? 4 day work week, 6 week vacation in summer and fund jobs like child care for improved quality of life. By the this trend is happening in medical, legal, engineering all industries.
