A few more points

Over time EVs will be continuously improving price and performance so eventually winning 90% of the market Elecric power is cheaper than gas and diesel. In the US savings on fuel for light vehicles and heavy trunks will exceed $500 billion a year. So lower inflation. Electric power from solar and wind is getting cheaper every year. EV batteries are getting cheaper every year (about 50% lower every 5 years).

Less gas and diesel consumption means less oil demand worldwide wide so less profit for Russian and Middle East terrorists. Jobs to extract oil and natural gas move to installing and maintaining wind, solar and grid batteries.

Yes pollution will be lower but also cost will go down and the world will be safer as oil profit declines for terrorists. More jobs will move on shore.
