2030 or 2035 is the target date for new cars sales to be 100% EV. Most likely between now and 2035 only about 25% of gas vehicles will have been converted to EV. However there is an interesting possibility. About 20% of vehicles consume 50% of fossil fuel. For the group the savings in capital cost, fuel and maintenance is massive. If most of those use cases convert to EV and fossil fuel consumption falls by 50%, some refineries will close, some gas stations will close and the price of gas will increase.
